Rabbit Viral Hemorrhagic Disease (RVHD) goes by many names: Rabbit Calici Virus (RCV); Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHD); and Viral Hemorrhagic Disease (VHD). No matter the name, it has now found its way into the USA. For consistency we will use the RVHD name. There have been four confirmed outbreaks of RVHD in the USA. To date, there have been no reported cases in Canada.

Pamela Alley, Director of the Rabbit Industry Council, will be in contact with USDA, ARBA, WRSA and other rabbit groups should there be any suspected or confirmed outbreaks in the future.
